DRAMA: STEPPING UP
July 30 - August 4 David Britton and Jessica Dromgoole

Many writers negotiate the first hurdle into performance, but after the first play, what then? This intensive course aims to extend a writer’s potential beyond the basics, concentrating on the development of one-off drama scripts, particularly or stage and  radio.  It is conducted through a combination of group sessions and individual mentoring. Participants should have had at least one script broadcast, published or performed (at any level) or have achieved similar early success in a related field. They should bring with them a work-in-progress for practical development during the week.

There will be a maximum of 12 students on this course.

The course will feature a session with ALISON HINDELL, Head of Radio Drama at the BBC in London. There may be an opportunity for work to be read by professional actors at the end of the week.
