WRITER-IN-RESIDENCE
April 19-23 (Mon to Fri) • Patrick Gale

Residential: £375 (single) 

This is not a course. It is the opportunity to be at Tŷ Newydd, in order to write, in the company of novelist and short story writer, Patrick Gale, who will be available every afternoon to discuss and help with work in progress. The evenings will be used to continue writing in peace or to give readings, whichever proves the more popular. Numbers will be limited.

Participants are invited to send in the first 30 pages or an outline of work in progress prior to the course. Details from Tŷ Newydd.

PATRICK GALE has been a novelist since giving up on trying to be an actor in 1984 and has since produced fourteen novels, two books of stories and a life of Armistead Maupin. His latest publications include Gentleman’s Relish, The Whole Day Through and Notes from an Exhibition, which was a Richard and Judy selection and won the 2008 Independent Booksellers’ Book of the Year award.
