Every writer has to start somewhere. Do you have ideas you want to get down? Are you unsure about form? This short week is ideal for those who have already written and for those who want to start. Poet and novelist, Joe Dunthorne, and novelist, Tiffany Murray, will get you going with exercises that will examine what you want to write and how you want to write it. The focus will be on your writing, fun, and discovering something fresh and new.

JOE DUNTHORNE was born and brought up in Swansea. His debut novel, Submarine, is published by Penguin, and being made in to a film. It has been translated in to nine languages. His debut poetry pamphlet will be published by Faber in May 2010. Now twenty-seven, he lives in London. www.joedunthorne.com

TIFFANY MURRAY is the author of Diamond Star Halo (Portobello Books, 2010) and Happy Accidents (Harper Perennial, 2005), which was short-listed for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at The University of Glamorgan.
