NIALL GRIFFITHS was born in Liverpool in 1966 and has been resident in mid-Wales for 15 years. He is the author of six novels and three non-fiction books and more radio plays and short stories and travel pieces and reviews than he cares to count. Now working on a seventh novel, called A Great Big Shining Star.

CARYL LEWIS came to prominence as an author with Martha, Jac a Sianco (Y Lolfa), the novel which won the Welsh language Wales Book of the Year Award in 2005. It was subsequently translated from the Welsh by Gwen Davies. It  was followed by Y Gemydd (Y Lolfa, 2007), and Y Plu (Y Lolfa, 2008). She has written widely for television, the stage and for children.
